What is outdoor/out-of-home advertising?
Taking a form of billboards, indoor and outdoor digital screens, street furniture (bus shelters), transit and more, outdoor advertising aims to reach consumers in particular physical environments or on the move to inform them of the brand or sales campaign.
Why should I consider placing an outdoor advertising ad?
Outdoor advertising is a proven type of advertising medium that boasts the lowest CPM (cost per1000 impressions) among all media (besides national radio). Choose your desired location and design a creative poster and you can very quickly establish your brand within your target geographic audience and/or engage them with your sales campaign.
Are there any restrictions on what I can advertise? Can I have a personal ad?
You can have a personal ad, but your poster / artwork has to comply with the UK Advertising Codes issued by CAP (Committee of Advertising Practice). They include general rules that state advertising must be responsible, must not mislead or offend as well as specific rules that govern advertising to children and ads for specific sectors like alcohol, gambling, motoring, health and financial products. What is Signeer?
Signeer is a user friendly online marketplace for buying and selling outdoor advertising space that makes it easy to book and manage outdoor advertising campaigns independently from your computer or mobile device.
How does it work?
Outdoor media owners post their space on the website, including location details, pictures, and a description, and set the weekly rate for booking the space. Prospective advertisers can then search for a specific location and browse through the available spaces to book a space for their advertising needs. Who can use it?
Anyone is free to purchase space to advertise and anyone who is an owner/legal manager of outdoor media space can list their space on the website.
How much does it cost to use?
Nothing! Anyone can sign up for free.
What is the earliest I can book a space?
A space can be booked maximum 12 months in advance.
What is the latest I can book a space?
7 days before the desired starting date if you have your artwork ready and 12 days if you plan to order artwork through the Signeer website. Please contact us if you require a more urgent booking.
How long can I book a space for?
Both digital and non-digital displays may be booked for a minimum of 1 week. There is no maximum limit.
Who is responsible for/who manages the ad posting process?
The media owner will take care of posting your ad. All you have to do is book your space.
What happens after I place the order? How do I know that my ad has been posted?
A few days after the starting date of the campaign, you will receive proof in the form of posting pictures to show that your ad has been put up.
How do I upload my artwork?
After you have booked your space, you will receive a confirmation email summarising your order and giving you instructions on the artwork. You will be asked to send your artwork to info@signeer.com. Please ensure that you send your artwork a minimum of 12 days before the planned campaign starting date to avoid potential delays.
Are there any requirements for the artwork?
Artwork must be CMYK and 300 dpi, in high res PDF format.
What if I don’t have any artwork?
If you don’t have any artwork, that’s ok. For £89, you can have a custom design drawn up by our partnering designer team. You will be required to provide your design brief, logo, preferred font (if any) and picture files (if any). You will have the chance to make up to 2 revisions before the final design is produced.
How long will the designing process take?
Once you have made your order and provided us with the necessary information, you will receive the first draft of the design within 48 hours. We recommend that you do not delay the provision of the information or feedback in order to accommodate printing (if applicable) and posting time.
Is there any type of image or content I am not allowed to include?
All outdoor ads must comply with CAP UK Advertising Codes, which state that advertising must be responsible, must not mislead or offend, as well as specific rules that cover advertising to children and general rules for ads for specific sectors like alcohol, gambling, motoring, health and financial products.
What fees are included in the shown booking price?
The prices shown for a booking include posting costs for non-digital sites (for orders of 2 weeks and more). They don't include VAT and applicable production (poster printing) costs. You can submit your own artwork or order it separately if you need to.
How can I pay?
Payments are made either via a PayPal account or by debit/credit card.
Do I need to have a PayPal account?
No, you do not need to have a PayPal account. On the payment page, simply click “Pay by credit or debit card” and you can pay using all major cards.
What is the cancellation and/or refund policy?
You may cancel your campaign at any time, though the following refund policy will apply:
- If the order is cancelled 90 days or more before campaign starting date, 95% of the amount paid is refunded less charges for producing the Artwork and any ordered printing.
- If the order is cancelled 45 days or more before campaign starting date, 50% of the amount paid is refunded less charges for producing the Artwork and any ordered printing.
- If the order is cancelled 20 days or more before campaign starting date, 20% of the amount paid is refunded less charges for producing the Artwork and any ordered printing.
- No refund provided if the order is cancelled less than 20 days before campaign starting date
Do you offer any discounts for large orders?
Yes, we offer bulk discounts. We apply a 10% discount to orders of over 6 consecutive weeks and a 15% discount on orders of over 10 consecutive weeks. Discounts are automatically applied at the time of booking.
Do you have any sales campaigns for the sites?
You can keep an eye on sites of interest as the media owners often reduce the rates for certain weeks or offer special discounts. You can track this by adding your favourite site(s) to your Watchlist and then checking them from time to time.

Who can list an advertising space?
Anyone who has appropriate legal rights for the advertising spaces they wish to list (ownership, lease, etc.)
What types of spaces can be listed?
You can list 4, 6, 48 and 96 sheet static, digital and backlight billboards as well as smaller digital screens from 24" and larger. Please get in touch with us if your site format is not listed.
How much should I charge for my space?
It is up to you to decide on the appropriate rates for your space; however, you can ask for our advice once you list your space, if you wish to.
What happens when someone books my space?
Whenever someone makes a booking for your space, you will be notified via email of the booking.
Who handles posting for non-digital sites?
Owners of non-digital sites are generally responsible for ensuring the ads are posted on time once their sites have been booked on the website. Please get in touch with us if you would prefer to outsource this task.
Can I make my space unavailable for certain weeks?
Yes, you do have the option to deactivate your space during certain weeks provided they are not already booked. To do this, simply go to 'edit my space' where you can tick which weeks you wish to deactivate your space.

Yes, we work with eligible creative and media buying agencies. Please get in touch to discuss further details.
How do I know that the information I provide will remain secure?
